South East Water

The Client

South East Water (SEW) is one of Melbourne's 3 metropolitan water retailers. Servicing almost 2 million customers, they provide safe drinking water and remove waste from over 650000 homes and business.

In 2010 SEW started to use iPhones in their business.

The Brief

South East Water (SEW) approached jtribe in 2010 when the organisation introduced the iPhone as the new enterprise standard. Since then, jtribe has developed a number of enterprise apps that integrate with SEW's enterprise systems. Most apps are required to connect to the SCADA backend.

The Solution

Lone Worker App

Lone Worker is a new iPhone App designed as a workplace health and safety solution for all employees who work alone.

The Lone Worker App is an emergency beacon in the worker’s pocket. Whether your lone workers are in remote or dangerous locations or temporarily away from the team, the Lone Worker App keeps you connected to your people.

Sensor Deployment App

The application plays an important role in keeping water clean and is used by field staff to deploy and record sensor equipment. The app assists in the deployment and management of sewer level sensors. Another function is the visualisation of sewer levels in relation to rainfall.

Deployed sensors can be found easily via a map interface so field staff can collect and re-deploy at another location.
